The official poster of Mohanlal's upcoming big-budget movie "Pulimurugan" was released on Saturday, April 16. The poster, which features Mohanlal, Lal, Makarand Deshpande and Jagapati Babu, was revealed at 6 p.m. through the Facebook page of the superstar.
Mohanlal plays the titular role in the action thriller, which is a directorial venture of Vysakh after the 2014 film "Cousins". The movie marks the first association of the actor and the director. Popular stunt coordinator Peter Hein has choreographed the action sequences of the flick, in which Mohanlal will be seen fighting a tiger in a 20-minute climax scene, for which he has not used a body double.
The upcoming action thriller has been shot majorly in Kerala, Vietnam, South Africa and Thailand, and its makers have announced that the movie's teaser will be released by May-end. Udayakrishna has written the screenplay of the film, for which background score and soundtrack have been composed by Gopi Sunder and the cinematography handled by Shaji.
The Mohanlal-starrer is one of the most anticipated films of the year and is expected to make tremendous box office collection as it is poised to release in more than 3,000 screens throughout the world in July for Eid. The film, which is the production venture of Tomichan Mulakupadam under the banner of Mulakupadam Films, also has Bala, Siddique, Vinu Mohan, Kamalini Mukherjee, Namitha, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Telugu actor Jagapati Babu in important roles.
