Veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu is teaming up with Ramya Krishnan and Meena in Allari Naresh's "Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu", which will bring together the trio after 23 years.
Mohan Babu was last seen in director K Raghavendra Rao's 1992 Telugu movie "Allari Mogudu" in which he romanced both Ramya Krishnan and Meena. The movie was a big hit at the box office. The actor's chemistry with the actresses was one of the main factors responsible for the film's stupendous success.
Mohan Babu is all thrilled to work with Ramya Krishnan and Meena again, 23 years after the release of "Allari Mogudu". The actor says "Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu" will be a perfect family drama with a high entertainment quotient.
"Listening to the script of this film I was reminded of Allari Mogudu, which enjoyed a silver jubilee run at the BO and was one of the biggest hits of my career. I'm very excited to be teaming up with Ramya Krishnan and Meena again," The Times of India quoted a nostalgic Mohan Babu as saying.
"But this time, we will have Allari Naresh as the new addition to the lineup. He is a very talented actor and I'm looking forward to working with him. The film will have a good mix of side-splitting comedy and family drama," added Mohan Babu.
Comedy king Allari Naresh and actress Poorna are playing the lead roles in "Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu", which will be directed by Sreenivas Reddy. Achu, Bappa Lahari and Raghu Kunche have been roped in to jointly compose music for the film.
"Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu" is being produced by Mohan Babu's son Vishnu Manchu under his home banner 24 Frames Film Factory. The makers of the movie have planned to start shooting from 20 August 20 and release the film in theatres by mid-2016.
