Nolan Gould, who portrays Luke Dunphy in the popular American sitcom, "Modern Family", has turned 16 on Tuesday, 28 October.
The young actor celebrated his 16th birthday at the SmogShoppe in Los Angeles on Sunday, 26 October. Apart from his onscreen siblings - Alex (Ariel Winter) and Haley (Sarah Hyland) - Kiernan Shipka, Joey King, Katherine McNamara, Emma Kenney, Rico and Raini Rodriguez also took part in the birthday party, reported US Weekly.
The birthday celebration of Gould began with Pink's hotdogs, Victoria's Sweet Art red velvet cupcakes, tacos from My Taco Man, Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches and a sushi bar from Kabuki Japanese Restaurant.
"The general young Hollywood birthday party is kind of bumping music. We wanted to do something different which is kind of how it evolved into what it is now, which is just a relaxed, casual event where I got my friends together and we are just hanging out and having a good time," Gould told US Weekly.
The young celeb, who became a part of "Modern Family" in 2009, also shared his experience about working on the popular sitcom. "I have really enjoyed my experience. It's been cool because, it sounds a little cliché, but 'Modern Family' is kind of like a second family to me. It's nice to have that whole other support system to go to," he said.
"Julie [Bowen] is really like my other mom and my TV sisters would just be like my real sisters if I had them. They're always picking on me and kissing me on the cheeks and it's like, 'Guys, stop it, I'm 16 now!' It's great, I love growing up on TV!" Gould added.
Previously, he revealed that the viewers of "Modern Family" have mixed reaction about his growth spurt. "There's one group on the Internet that hates me growing up. They are like, 'No, our little baby is growing up! Awww Luke!" he told People Magazine.
"You have the other side which is like the teenage girls who are all into it. They are like, 'Oh yeah, he's getting older, woo!' It's really interesting to see what you find," he mentioned.
Gould entered the entertainment world through a commercial at the age of three. He has been part of several Hollywood movies including "Space Buddies", "Friends with Benefits", "Ghoul" and "The To Do List" as well as TV shows like "America's Most Wanted", "Good Luck Charlie" and "RL Stine's The Haunting Hour", to name a few.
