"1: Nenokkadine" fame director Sukumar has penned the story for the movie, which is touted to be a romance drama. The movie is about a young guy, who falls in love with a 21-year-old girl, but cannot overcome his insecurities. The movie deals with the emotional turmoil of this over-possessive boy in dealing with his hep girlfriend.
Raj Tarun says he was all thrilled to hear the story of "Kumari 21F". "Kumari 21F is the sort of love story that everyone from a six-year-old to a 60 something will connect to. Everyone who's fallen in love will connect with the emotions the protagonists go through in the movie," the actor told in an interview with the Hyderabad Times.
"Kumari 21F" is the maiden production of director Sukumar, who is jointly producing the movie with Vijaya Prasad Bandreddi and Thomas Reddy under the banner, PA Motion Pictures. It was Sukumar, who called Raj Tarun for a meeting and selected him as the hero within a minutes of conversation.
"I have grown up watching Sukumar's films like 'Arya' and 'Jagadam'. It's the first time I'm meeting the filmmaker I adore. We were barely done exchanging pleasantries and he says I'm acting in his next production. I had goose bumps," Raj Kiran said.
The actor did not have to prepare much for his role in "Kumari 21F".
"It is brilliantly conceived character which is an extension of the roles I played in my earlier films like "Uyyala Jampala" and "Cinema Choopistha Maava". So I really didn't have to do a lot of homework," Raj Kiran said.
Raj Kiran added his chemistry with his co-star Heeba Patel will be the main highlight of "Kumari 21F", which is slated to release in theatres on 20 November. "The role was tailor-made for her. She lived the character and working with her was a lot of fun. Our chemistry is going to be the highlight of the film."
Raj Kiran made his acting debut with "Uyyala Jampala", which was a decent success at the box office. His second movie "Cinema Choopistha Maava", which was released in theatres on 14 August 2015, was also a big hit. Now, he is hoping to score a hat-trick of success with "Kumari 21F".
