Nivin Pauly's "Jacobinte Swargarajyam" (JSR), Vijay's "Theri," Dileep's "King Liar," Hollywood movie "The Jungle Book," and many other movies have been doing tremendous business at the Kerala box office, especially at the multiplexes in Kochi.
The Vineeth Sreenivasan-directored "JSR" is said to have grossed an approximate amount of Rs. 11.54 crore within 13 days of its release in Kerala. Meanwhile, Disney's "The Jungle Book" is said to have collected Rs. 1.60 crore, followed by Dulquer Salmaan's "Kali" with Rs. 1.30 crore. Dileep's "King Liar" has earned more than Rs. 1 crore and Vijay's "Theri" has got a collection amount of Rs. 54.90 lakh from the multiplexes in Kochi.
Biju Menon's latest movie "Leela," directed by Ranjith, has also opened to a positive response from the audience. The movie, based on a short story by Unni R, has reportedly collected Rs. 3.91 lakh from Kochi multiplexes alone on its opening day on April 22.
