It is celebration time for all Vijay Fans as his latest flick "Kaththi' has crossed 100-day mark in the cinemas. The delighted fans and film-goers are now pouring in congratulatory messages to the makers of the blockbuster hit.
The director of the movie, AR Murugadoss, has thanked Vijay, other cast and crew members of the film and fans through his Twitter page.
"#KATHTHIHitsCentury Thank you so much for you all, Vijay sir, my producers, my entire crew and my assistant directors," Murugadoss tweeted on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the music composer of the film, Anirudh Ravichander, has dished out something special for audience on the occasion. He said that he will release the official BGM of the movie.
"Thank you @ARMurugadoss sir, Vijay sir, @Samanthaprabhu2 , @george_dop and the entire crew for the mammoth team effort! #KATHTHIHitsCentury. And the #KATHTHIHitsCentury surprise is the official #KaththiBGM .. Releasing today :)," tweeted Anirudh.
Vijay fans have taken the celebrations to a larger scale with the special screening of the movie at Chennai's Baby Albert, at 3pm on Thursday.
"Kaththi", which featured Vijay in dual roles was released on Diwali day last year and is the biggest blockbuster of 2014. The movie, which also had Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Neil Nitin Mukesh in lead roles, is also the biggest grosser of 2014 in Tamil.
The film had surpassed the ₹100 crore mark within 12 days of its release. "Kaththi" also created history in the US, where the film minted over $600K and emerged as the only non-Rajinikanth and non-Kamal Haasan film to achieve the feat.
Meanwhile, Vijay is busy with his upcoming movie, "Puli", directed by Chimbudevan. The movie has created a lot of curiosity since its announcement and is much noticed for its star cast, which includes Kannada star Sudeep, Sridevi and Hansika.
