The much-awaited theatrical trailer of Jr NTR's "Rabhasa" is set to release along with the film's audio on 1 August.
The audio and the trailer will be launched in a grand event at Shilpakala Vedhika in Hyderabad. The film's music is composed by Thaman, and Jr NTR has rendered a song titled "Rakhasi Rakhasi" for the album.
Directed by Santhosh Srinivas of "Kandireega" fame, "Rabhasa" is touted to be a family entertainer with all the commercial elements.
The film's teaser, which was released on the occasion of Jr NTR's birthday, had shown some action scenes from the film. But the theatrical trailer will have all the elements including entertainment, action and family drama, reported Idlebrain website.
Samantha plays the female lead opposite Jr NTR for the third time after "Brindavanam" and "Ramayya Vastavayya." "Attarintiki Daredi" fame Pranitha Subash will share screen space for the first time with Jr NTR. The film also has Jayasudha, Nassar and Brahmanandam in supporting roles.
The shooting of the Srinivas directorial is completely wrapped up and the post-production work is going on in full swing.
There is huge expectations for "Rabhasa" as it stars Jr NTR, who enjoys a huge fan-following. The actor's last release "Ramayya Vastavayya" was just an average grosser and so his fans would be expecting nothing short of a hit film from him.
"Rabhasa" will release on 15 August. Earlier, there were reports suggesting that the film will be out on 14 August. But now the film's producer Bellamkonda Suresh has confirmed that the family entertainer will hit theatres on Independence Day.
The film will be Jr NTR's first release of the year and it will definitely take good openings upon its release. However, the film's overall performance will depend on its content. If the Jr NTR starrer manages to get positive feedback, it is sure to rock the box office.
The film might face competition from Suriya's "Sikander" (Telugu dub of Tamil film "Anjaan"), which is expected to hit the screens on 15 August. Latest buzz is that "Sikander" might get delayed for a week. If it turns out to be true, then "Rabhasa" will be the only big Telugu release for the Independence Day in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
However, the film will be facing strong competition from other language biggies such as Suriya's "Anjaan" (Tamil) and Ajay Devgn's "Singham Returns" (Hindi) in overseas markets.
