The first look teaser of Jr NTR's upcoming film "Rabhasa" was released on the special occasion of the actor's birthday.
Jr NTR, fondly referred to as the young tiger of Telugu cinema, is celebrating his birthday today (20 May). As a special treat to his fans, the first look posters and the teaser of his much-anticipated project "Rabhasa" was released by the film's makers.
The rocking trailer gives viewers a glimpse of what to expect from the film. The film appears to be an action-packed entertainer with all the commercial elements.
Directed by Santosh Srinivas, "Rabhasa" has Jr NTR, Samantha and Pranitha in lead roles. The film's other cast members include Brahmanandam, Jayasudha and Nassar. Its shooting is expected to be wrapped up soon and it is all set to hit screens on 14 August for the Independence Day weekend.
Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the film, while Thaman is working on the soundtracks.
Jr NTR is one of the most-popular stars of Telugu cinema. The actor began his film career with the 2001-release "Student No.1," which turned out to be a hit. Later, he starred in several successful films including "Simhadri", "Brindavanam" and "Baadshah." His last release "Ramayya Vastavayya", directed by Harish Shankar, failed to set the cash registers ringing and now expectations are high from "Rabhasa", which will be Jr NTR's first release of the year.
After completing "Rabhasa", Jr NTR will be teaming up with Puri Jagannadh for a new project. The film will go on floors on his birthday and the shooting will reportedly commence later this month. This is the second time that the actor-director duo has joined hand after the 2004-release "Andhrawala." Jagannadh is riding high with the success of his latest release "Heart Attack," and so the expectations for the Jr NTR film are likely to soar.
Vakkantham Vamsi, who has penned the scripts for action films such as "Yevadu" and "Race Gurram," will be writing for Jr NTR-Puri Jagannadh's untitled project. Details about the film's complete cast and crew members are yet to be announced. The film will be hitting theatres during the Sankranti festival in 2015.
