After the hit Malayalam comedy entertainer "Vellimoonga," director Jibu Jacob will soon helm the upcoming movie starring Mohanlal, Biju Menon and Meena. The makers of the untitled film have announced that the movie will go on floors in June.
It was in December 2015 that the makers had announced the project, which also has Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese, Suraj Venjarumoodu, Kalabhavan Shajon and Sudheer Karamana in pivotal roles. While Mohanlal plays a panchayat secretary, Biju will be seen as a government employee in the movie, which is touted as a comedy entertainer.
The untitled flick is being written by Sindhuraj. While M Jayachandran and Bijibal compose the music, Pramod Pillai will handle the cinematography of the family entertainer. The film marks the comeback of Mohanlal and Meena after Jeethu Joseph's blockbuster movie "Drishyam," which made tremendous box office business throughout the world.
The upcoming Mohanlal starrer is being produced under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters by Sophia Paul after making her debut with hit Anjali Menon's blockbuster "Bangalore Days" in 2014. The shooting of the production company's another project "Kaadu Pookkunna Neram" (when the woods bloom) helmed by Dr Biju has already started.
The movie has Indrajith Sukumaran and Rima Kallingal in main roles. Meanwhile, the superstar, who is currently shooting for Priyadarshan's "Oppam," is awaiting the release of the big budget action thriller "Pulimurugan," which is expected to hit the screens in July.
