After directing the short film, "Dual-Sim" (2012), Malayalam actor Jayasurya produced a new short film, named "Moonamidam". It had a socially relevant message and has managed to woo the critics.

"Moonamidam" deals with the issue of extra-marital affair and shows us how a woman takes the best decisions.

The film shows the lives of two individuals who decide to start an affair as they were not satisfied with their spouses.

However, the film ends with the message: "A woman's strength is her power to say 'NO'. The ability to keep some of the desires aside is what makes a woman strong."

Malayalam actors Manju Warrier, Kavya Madhavan and many others have lauded the team for the amazing short film.

The film has received 18 National and International awards in just 18 weeks, including Best film in Maharajas Fest, Best Script and Best Actress in IFIF, Best film and Best Director in NIT Ragam, among others.

Earlier, Jayasurya had expressed his happiness in receving many awards for the short film.

"Moonamidam", directed by Antony Sony and written by RJ Shaan, has Rachana Narayanankutty and Shaan in the lead roles. Other crew members include Angel Shijoy and Rubia (Dubbing), Donly, Anoop, Sheril Vengazi (Assistant Directors), and background music by Aby Tom Cyriac.
