Popular Malayalam actor Jayasurya has turned singer for his upcoming movie "Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeeviyanu". The actor who had previously sung for movies like "Immini Nalloral", "Three Kings" and "Punyalan Agarbattis" has now lent his voice to a song composed by Shaan Rahman.
The song is touted as a story telling track that narrates the tale of a goat, which will be featured as an animation video.
"Just like his previous song 'Aasichavan' from Ranjith Sankar's 'Punyalan Agarbattis', Jayasurya's next will also be featured on animation visuals. The film's director Midhun and producer Sandra asked me to try Jayasurya's voice for one of the songs in Aadu... and I decided to give it a shot. Moreover, Jayasurya also has experience in playback singing," Shaan Rahman told The Times of India
Shaan, who is impressed with the final result, added that Jayasurya has given same commitment to the song like he did it for his character in the movie.
"Jayasurya's character in Aadu... is someone who keeps chewing pan. For the shooting, he had to chew double the amount of pan chomped normally by those who use it. Jayasurya did it even though the continuous usage discoloured his teeth. Director Midhun was quite impressed and he had mentioned it to me as well. Jayasurya's commitment to the song was also quite similar and I am happy that it has come out well," added the young composer.
"Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeeviyanu" directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas is touted as a comedy entertainer. The story of the film revolves around a goat named "Pinky" and a tug-of-war team. The film has Jayasurya in the role of "Shaji Pappan" who is the captain of the team and the film revolves around the team members.
Vijay Babu will play pivotal role of a police officer in the film and also features Srinda, Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Aju Varghese and 16 new-comers.
The movie, which is mostly shot in the scenic locations of Idukki, is scheduled to be released on 6 February.
