Malayalam-Tamil actor Jayaram, who is currently busy with the shooting of comedy horror movie "Aadupuliyattam," is said to star in an action thriller next. The film, directed by Diphan Sivakumar of "Puthiya Mukham"-fame, has been titled "Satya."
Actress Nikita Thukral, who made her acting debut in Malayalam opposite Fahadh Faasil in veteran filmmaker Fazil's "Kaiyethum Doorath" in 2002, will reportedly star opposite Jayaram in the realistic action thriller. If the reports are to be believed, this will be first time Nikita and Jayaram will join hands for a project.
Nikita is expected to be seen as a Tamil-Brahmin school teacher and will be donning traditional attires in the flick, different to her onscreen roles till date. "Mine is a powerful character especially in the second half of the movie, where I will be playing Jayaram sir's wife. My character is traditional in her outlook and so I am going for that homely girl look with long hair and cotton saris. I really want to look the part of the Tamil-Brahmin girl," the actress told the Times of India.
Although her debut Malayalam movie couldn't make a mark at the Kerala box office, she had acted with Mammootty and Mohanlal and is also known for her roles in many Telugu, Kannada and Tamil movies. Some of her notable movies include the Kannada remakes of the Malayalam movies "Boeing Boeing," "Kalyanaraman" and "My Boss," and is also awaiting the Hindi remake of Rajesh Pillai's hit movie "Traffic."
The upcoming movie "Satya," scripted by AK Sajan of "Puthiya Niyamam"-fame, is also expected to have Nasser, Sudheer Karamana, Rahul Dev and Vinod Kumar in pivotal roles.
