Jayalalitha death rumours: Mohan Babu, Khushbu, Rohit, Raai Laxmi, other celebs mourn Amma's 'demise'

Rumours claim that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha (Jayalalithaa) is dead and Mohanlal, Khushbu Sundar, Manobala, Rohit, Raai Laxmi and few other southern celebs started paying tributes to her saying RIP Amma.

The rumours about Jayalalitha's death started doing the rounds after AIADMK lowered its flag at the party HQ. What added to the confusion was that Jaya TV flashed news of her death and later removed it. After watching Tamil TV channels, some celebs were shocked and saddened and took to Twitter to mourn her death.

However, the authorities of Apollo Hospital Chennai have slammed the report in a statement released to the media. The following is the statement release by the Apollo Hospital:

"The Hon'ble Chief Minister continues to be on life support at the Apollo Hospitals. The Apollo specialists and specialist s from AIIMS are continually monitoring the Hon'ble Chief Minister very closely. Some TV channels are wrongly reporting that Hon'ble Chief Minister is no more. This is totally baseless and false. They are advised to rectify this mistake based on this press release."

Some of the celebs blamed the media for disseminating false information after Apollo Hospital served an official statement, saying that Jayalalitha is still alive. They said it is a miracle and wished Amma a speedy recovery. Here are a few comments.
