Janatha Garage has continued its dream run at the worldwide box office in its fifth week. The Junior NTR starrer movie has surpassed Rs 130 crore gross mark in 32 days.
Released in theatres on September 1, Janatha Garage collected Rs 102.35 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first week. Despite clashing with Inkokkadu and Jyo Achyutananda, the movie remained rock-steady and collected Rs 18.35 crore gross at the global box office in its second week.
Its business was affected by Nirmala Convent and Siddhartha in its third week and Majnu in its fourth week. Janatha Garage collected approximately over Rs 13 crore at the worldwide box office in these two weeks and 29-day global total collection stood at Rs 133.70 crore. Trade experts predicted that the movie would hit a new low at the ticket counters in its fifth week as it clashes with two much-hyped films.
Hyper and Telugu version of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story forced Janatha Garage to be withdrawn from several cinema halls around the world. These new releases also made the Junior NTR starrer last option for the audience this weekend. Janatha Garage saw a huge dip in its business and collected approximately Rs 1.75 crore gross at the worldwide box office in its fifth weekend.
Janatha Garage has collected over Rs 135.45 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 32 days. The movie is estimated to have earned a share of Rs 84.06 crore for its distributors. The movie has returned 100 percent of the investments and a handsome profit share to all the distributors.
