Apple's upcoming flagship smartphone, the iPhone 7 is one of the most-awaited smartphones of this year. Hype around it started soon after the release of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and it will hit headlines even more now that its rivals – Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 – have been unveiled.
The Cupertino giant is tight-lipped on its upcoming next-generations smartphone but several reports have claimed that its release date might fall in the third quarter of the year, as the current flagship device will complete a year cycle by that time. The Fuse Joplin went a step further by claiming that it might be released on 9 September but it can't be considered anything close to authentic.
The iPhone 7 is expected to come with sapphire crystal glass, chassis made of liquid metal, and 2GB RAM and 14MP main camera and 4MP front snapper, according to EMSOne (via TechnoBuffalo). It is also expected to be powered by A9 chip but nothing is confirmed as of now.
Apple fans will be expecting at least five major feature upgrades:
1) Sapphire Crystal Glass: Apple fans expected the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus to be protected by sapphire crystal glass following reports that it would come with the unbreakable material but it didn't come true. So, gadget lovers will expect Apple to introduce it in its upcoming flagship smartphone.
2) Battery: Users of iPhone devices have one common problem, and that is short battery live. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus came with an improved battery but prospective buyers of the upcoming device will expect a much powerful one.
3) Memory: The base model of the iPhone 6 has 16GB internal memory and 1GB RAM but it is less for a premium device. Internal storage of the upcoming device should be increased considerably as iPhones don't come with microSD card slot and RAM should be upgraded to 2 or 3GB.
4) Wireless Charging: The just unveiled Samsung Galaxy S6 has wireless charging feature and Apple fans will also expect the same in the upcoming next-generation smartphone.
5) Waterproofing: Many smartphone makers have introduced waterproofing feature to its devices owing to the fact that electronic devices are prone to get spoiled after falling into water. So, Apple fans will expect the iPhone 7 to be waterproof.
