"How to Get Away with Murder" will be back on ABC with its third season in less than a month's time. The premiere episode of the sequel, titled "We're Good People Now", is scheduled to air on Sep. 22.
Though an official synopsis of episode 1 is yet to be revealed, a recently released trailer indicates a rough start for professor Annalise Keating and her long time associate Bonnie Winterbottom.
The 30-minute-long video clip begins by showing Wes Gibbins riding back to Middleton University and Connor Walsh relaxing in beach. The clip also gives a glimpse of stressed out Michaela Pratt, Laurel Castillo and Asher Millstone.
The trailer then focuses on Viola Davis' character, which is seen congratulating her students for being selected for a criminal law clinic. "You are not just students, but actual practicing lawyers, finally get to be me," says the female lead. Her words create a panic in the minds of young associates Castillo, Hampton and Pratt, who could be going through hard times in the upcoming season.
The promotional clip also indicates that someone close to professor Annalise will move against her as several posters of her with the caption "killer" can be seen in and around Middleton University. Although Davis' character takes it lightly, her associate Winterbottom seems worried about the move. She is seen telling Annalise, "It can destroy as all."
Even the trailer hints at a mysterious killer and teases the demise of a major character. However, it remains to be seen whether it will be someone from Keating 5 or Liza Weil's character.
The premiere episode of the upcoming season might also address the relationship between Connor Walsh and Oliver Hampton, which will probably turn for the worst.
Meanwhile, multiple Grammy winner Mary Jane Blige will be joining the cast list of "How to Get Away with Murder" Season 3 in a recurring role.
