Apart from the 'cleavage row', woman of the moment Deepika Padukone made headlines for another reason on Monday – the "Lovely" song teaser from "Happy New Year".
Released during the music launch of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, the 40-second video features a sizzling, sultry Padukone dancing to a packed audience calling out her name (Mohini) enthusiastically.
The song, being touted as the 'item song of the year', will be Padukone's intro song. "The Lovely number will be Deepika Padukone's entry song in the film and it reminisces the iconic Ek Do Teen number from Tezaab with the crowd chanting Mohini, Mohini!," a DNA report stated.

Crooned by "Baby Doll" singer Kanika Kapoor and composed by Dr. Zeus, the number has an interesting peppy vibe to it. While the teaser is nothing short of seductive, the makers will soon release the full video of it.
The prelude, which gives a sneak peek into a few hot dance moves, is a testimony of Padukone's hard work. Few months into the shoot schedule of "HNY" in 2013, the actress had said the movie requires her to be an excellent dancer and for which she would have to work real hard.
"Farah had a list of do's for the actress. I will prepare for it like any other film. If I am required to be a great dancer in the film, I will have to work damn hard. She wants a girl who is Maharashtrian, good dancer and a specific look. Manish Malhotra is doing my clothes, my hair stylist is there, I hope it turns out good," she told PTI.
Looking glamourous and extremely sensational, Padukone has everything working in her favour in the number.
Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah, "HNY" is dance heist film and follows the story of six oddballs who set to loot a 'handful of diamonds'. Slated for a 24 October release, it is director Farah's third film with SRK.
