Romantic comedy film "Happy Bhag Jayegi" had a decent collection at the box office on its 2nd weekend. The Abhay Deol and Diana Penty starrer performed well on its second weekend, taking its 10-day nett domestic earning to over Rs. 20 crore.
"Happy Bhag Jayegi" has faced competition from "Rustom" and "A Flying Jatt," but the film has managed to march forward at a steady pace. After collecting Rs. 10.71 crore by the end of its first weekend, "Happy Bhag Jayegi" kept up the momentum over its second weekend as well.
The film collected Rs. 4.46 crore on its 2nd weekend, taking its 10-day nett collection to Rs. 22.11 crore at Indian box office. Made on a budget of Rs. 18 crore, "Happy Bhag Jayegi" is turning out to be a profitable project for the producers. Released on Aug. 19, the rom-com has been surviving competition from big budget movies like "Rustom" and "A Flying Jatt."
Co-produced by Aanand L Rai, "Happy Bhag Jayegi" had collected Rs. 17.65 crore by the end of its first week and going by the current pace, the film's nett domestic earning is likely to reach close to Rs. 25 crore by the end of its second week.
"Happy Bhag Jayegi" can add to its business till Thursday, after which Sonakshi Sinha's "Akira" will be released that will affect its run at the box office. With Rs. 22.11 crore already in its kitty, it would be a big hit if it manages to take its lifetime collection to Rs. 30 crore, considering the film's budget.
