This is the first time that Yuvan has worked with Ram Charan. The composer has received accolades for the background score in "GAV" teaser and the trailer. It remains to be seen whether the songs will impress the audience.
Directed by Krishna Vamsi, "GAV" has Ram Charan appearing in the role of an NRI. The film also has Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Jayasudha and Kamalinee Mukerjee appearing in pivotal roles.
"GAV" is slated to hit screens on 1 October. The film will have a solo release with no other Telugu biggies hitting the screens on the same day. However, the Ram Charan starrer might face competition from Hrithik Roshan's "Bang Bang," which is releasing on 2 October. The makers of "Bang Bang" are planning a wide release and the film will be out in different versions including Telugu and Tamil.
Hrithik's films have a good market in south India with his past releases "Krrish", "Dhoom 2" and "Krrish 3" having performed well at the box office. The actor's latest action adventure film has generated hug buzz and is expected to take grand openings. While "GAV" is expected to dominate the screens in AP/Nizam areas, the film might face stiff competition from "Bang Bang" in key overseas markets like the United States.
