Alicia Florrick has finally decided to run for State's Attorney with an aim to rampant corruption and to protect the rights of all citizens in the last episode of "The Good Wife" titled "Oppo Research". Now the curious fans of the series are waiting to know whether Florrick will win the campaign or not.
But the eager audience of the legal drama might get disappointed since the recently released sneak peek video of the next episode titled "Shiny Objects" focuses more on a courtroom drama than State's Attorney.
In the 18-second-long teaser, the viewers got to see the return of Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni in a courtroom sequence. While Tascioni seems to be excited to see Florrick , the latter does not seem to be thrilled to meet Tascioni in the courtroom.
As per the synopsis of "The Good Wife" season 6 episode 5, "Alicia and Dean (Taye Diggs) face familiar foes in Elsbeth Tascioni and Rayna Hecht (Jill Hennessy) when they represent a fired female CEO in a sex discrimination suit."
The promotional clip shows Florrick playing some tricks to divert the attention of Tascioni from the case.
The footage also highlights on the dislikes of Peter on Florrick's candidacy. He aggressively tells Florrick, "I'm the Governor and you are asking me for a favour," and she replies, "I may need you Peter but you need me too."
"Meanwhile, the Florrick/Agos/Lockhart firm are in panic mode when a hacker seizes control of their files and threatens to delete them if a ransom demand isn't met," according to the official synopsis.
Furthermore, CBS has released the list of guest stars to appear in the fifth episode of "The Good Wife" season 6. Apart from Preston, Hennessy and Diggs, Kyle MacLachlan will appear as AUSA Josh Perotti and Jonathan Elfman will reprise his role as the campaign manager.
