Nani's one-week-old movie "Gentleman" has continued to make good collection at the U.S. box office in its second week. The movie has fared better than "Oka Manasu" on its second Friday.
New release "Oka Manasu," starring Naga Shourya and Niharika Konidela, was premiered in several screens in North America on June 23 and received decent responses everywhere. The movie collected approximately $13,470 at the U.S. box office in Thursday premieres. Its collection is little more than Naga Shourya's last outing "Kalyana Vaibhogame," which grossed $13,188 in preview shows.
But the Rama Raju-directed movie garnered a mixed response from the audience and the word of mouth took toll on its collection on the opening day. "Oka Manasu" has collected $9,121 at the U.S. box office on the first day, taking its total to $22,591. Idlebrain Jeevi â€tweeted, "#OkaManasu collects $9,121 on Friday and the total is $22,591 in USA."
"Gentleman," which was released in 127 cinema halls across North America on June 17, opened to a good response. A strong word of mouth helped maintain rock-steady on the following days.
