The 60th filmfare awards (south) was held in a glittering event at the Hyderabad International Convention Center on Saturday.
The grand ceremony witnessed the presence of prominent celebrities and other members of the south Indian film fraternity. The event began with the red carpet arrivals of stars from all the four south Indian film industries. Celebrities Dhanush and wife Aishwarya, Ram Charan, Nagarjuna and wife Amala, Venkatesh, Shruti Haasan, Amala Paul, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Nag Chaitanya, AR Rahman, Tamannah, Priya Mani, Rana Daggubati and Kushboo Sundar are among others who attended the event.
Shruti, Amala Paul, Sunaina and Sharmila Mandre, gave out dazzling performances on stage. These gorgeous actresses set the stage on fire with their rocking dance movements.
The winners of the black lady in about ten categories were also announced. Tamil actor Dhanush, who is on a winning phase post the success of "Raanjhanaa", won two awards - won awards for best actor (male) for his role in Tamil film "3" and best playback singer (male) for the song "Why This Kolaveri Di" ("3") which won him national fame.
Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan bagged the best actor (male) award for "Gabbar Singh", a remake of Salman Khan's "Dabangg". Director Fazil's son Fahaad won the black lady in the same category for his performance in Malayalam film "22 Female Kottayam". Kannada actor Darshan received the award for "Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna".
