With just two movies, Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan has become a "really hot property" in Bollywood. From Karan Johar to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, rumours of several big directors approaching him with meaty roles have surfaced online.
The recent rumour suggests that the ace director, Zoya Akhtar, has approached Fawad Khan for her movie. The film is reportedly about Mumbai rappers and it already has Ranveer Singh in one of the lead roles. Interestingly, one of the lead roles was first offered to Hrithik Roshan, according to DNA. Though the actor recently denied that Zoya did not approach him with any script, the daily reported that Hrithik was not too keen on doing a two-hero film.
After Hrithik turned down the offer, Zoya is now looking to cast Fawad as the second male lead in the film.
"She loved Fawad in Kapoor & Sons and decided to work with him right after watching the film. However, she never had him in mind while writing this film. When Hrithik said no, she was in need of a dashing hero who could also act well. Fawad totally fit the bill," DNA quoted a source as saying.
The source further said that Zoya and Fawad had an initial talk about the film's basic premise and the two will soon meet to discuss further details. However, there has been no official confirmation on Fawad being approached for the role.
Meanwhile, the "Mohenjo Daro" actor recently said that he shares a good equation with Zoya and would never turn down her movie offer. "I can never say no Zoya. She has not offered me any film recently. But I am sure we'll be working together soon again," Hrithik told Subhash K Jha.
