Fahadh Faasil's latest movie "Monsoon Mangoes" was released in Kerala on Friday, 15 January, and is locking horns with Prithviraj Sukumaran's comedy entertainer "Paavada". It is the directorial venture of Abi Varghese, who is known for directing popular Malayalam sitcom "Akkara Kazhchakal".

"Monsoon Mangoes", touted as a comedy entertainer, tells the story of an amateur filmmaker named DP Pallickal, played by Fahadh. He is passionate about filmmaking and claims to be the next Steven Spielberg. Even though he lacks the talent in filmmaking, DP Pallickal is on a mission to make an epic Malayalam film from the US that is said to be first of its kind with an unknown Hindi actor. What happens next forms the crux of the film.

The film also has Vijay Razz, Iswarya Menon, Nandu, Tovino Thomas, Vinay Forrt, Sanju Sivaram, Jacob Gregory, Thampi Ant;ony, Josekutty V and Sajini Sachariah in significant roles. Vijay plays the role of an Hindi actor Prem Kumar and Gregory is seen as a new superstar with a superhit film. Vinay plays Fahadh's assistant director Miguel.

The makers of "Monsoon Mangoes" have also released five songs from the movie, penned by Jelu Jayaraj, Manoj Kuroor and Raqeeb Alam. The songs are composed by Jakes Bejoy and are sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Vijay Yesudas, Jakes Bejoy, Udith, Rakesh Kishore, Muhammed Aslam, Jagdish, Abhishek, Mame Khan and The Elfa Choir.

I am a big fan of fahadh but he disappointed me. poor script.very boring film from start to end. I slept at the theatre. only few people were there to watch this film in the theatre.

Soft hearted movie,excellent cinematography and a fairly good message conveyed. All the characters are handled by actors apt for the role.

boring film.. slow.. and useless... expected something more from abi varghese,,, DISAPPOINTED TOTALY...it is an art film,,, to put it simple
