The State Award-winning actor Dulquer Salmaan wrapped up the shooting of cinematographer-turned-director Rajeev Ravi's next "Kammatipaadam" March 9. A source close to the movie reveals that the team completed the filming in the wee hours of Thursday and the post-production works will begin soon.
The makers of "Kammatipaadam" had recently released the first look poster of Dulquer from the movie. The stylish avatar of the actor was well-accepted by the audience, making it one of the most anticipated films in Malayalam. It is the third directorial venture of National Film Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev after Fahadh Faasil's "Annayum Rasoolum" and Farhaan Faasil's "Njan Steve Lopez."
"Kammatipaadam" is being scripted by actor P Balachandran, who is known for his scripts for the films "Ivan Megharoopan," "Thacholi Varghese Chekavar," "Pavithram," "Ulladakkam" and "Uncle Bun." The upcoming movie, set in the 80s, also has Shaun Romy, Vinay Forrt, Vinayakan and Shine Tom Chacko in pivotal roles and is scheduled to hit the screens in May 2016.
Dulquer will next join the sets of Amal Neerad's untitled flick in April. The flick will be majorly shot in Kottayam and the U.S. The actor is also awaiting the release of Sameer Thahir's "Kali," in which he plays a customer relations officer working in a new-generation bank. Sai Pallavi of "Premam" fame will be seen opposite him in the family entertainer, which will be released on March 26. Dulquer also has Prathap Pothen, Sathyan Anthikkad, Ashiq Abu and Anoop Sathyan's directorial ventures in his kitty for later this year.
