The beautiful story of a brother and a sister trying to meet superstar Shah Rukh Khan has touched the hearts of Bollywood celebs, who watched the flick at a special screening recently. The Nagesh Kukunoor directorial has already garnered appreciation at the Berlin Film Festival.
In fact, the trailer of "Dhanak" had impressed the audience and they are eagerly waiting to watch the movie. The trailer showed a girl named Pari (played by Hetal Gadda), who is a big fan of SRK, and has a visually impaired brother named Chotu (Krrish Chhabria). Pari has promised Chotu she will bring his eyesight back before he turns nine, and the girl believes only Shah Rukh can help her succeed in this mission.
Thus, the two siblings set off on a journey across the vibrant Rajasthan desert to meet Shah Rukh, who is shooting in the state. Along the way, Pari and Chotu come across a bunch of interesting characters. Interestingly, SRK's latest movie "Fan" had a similar story, but it had a lot of negative shades, drama and action.
"Dhanak" looks like a much simpler and subtler story of a fan who has utmost faith in the superstar, and SRK will reportedly do a cameo in it. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, "Dhanak" also features Rajiv Lakshman, Vipin Sharma, Fllora Saini, Suresh Menon, Vibha Chhibber, Vijay Maurya and Chet Dixon.
The film has been scheduled to be released on June 17, but special screenings for celebrities has begun.
