"Daawat-e-Ishq" pair Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapoor promoted the film on Zee TV's Eid special episode "Dawaat-E-Eid". The lead pair celebrated with TV actors Karanvir Bohra, Surbhi Jyoti and the cast of "Qubool Hai".
According to reports, Chopra and Bohra delivered a well-rehearsed performance and shared a great chemistry. But what came as surprising was their newfound friendship.
"When I first met her I was glad to have met a girl who has an amazing sense of humor. While the two of us got along really well, I wish I could have had my wife meet her too," a Zee News report quoted Bohra. "I'm sure my wife would have got along equally well with her. None-the-less, it was great fun to be shooting this Eid special."
The actors, reportedly, bonded over their love for food, took selfies on the set and looked comfortable in each other's company. Bohra also send out Eid wishes and hoped "Daawat-e-Ishq" would turn out to be tasty.
"I wish everybody a very Happy Eid and hope everybody enjoys a delicious Eid with Dawaat-e-Ishq releasing around the same time."
While Chopra looks promising as the free-spirited Hyderabaadi girl in the trailer and the titular song, Kapoor plays the quintessential Lucknawi chef with effortless ease. The film, directed by Habib Faisal, is a delectable celebration of love between two people coming from strikingly different cultural backgrounds.
Scheduled for release on 5 September, the film is Faisal and Chopra's second collaboration after "Ishaqzaade" (2012). It also features Anupam Kher in a significant role.
"Dawaat-E-Eid" will air on Zee TV, 26 July, 9pm onwards.
