The Bachchan bahu and "The Lunchbox" actor will share screen space for the first time.
"Jazbaa" is an action thriller film in which the former Miss World will portray the character of a lawyer. Khan will be seen as a suspended cop, who has problems with authority, The Times of India reported.
Earlier, there were reports that "Dhoom" actor John Abraham will be paired opposite Bachchan. The report also said that Abraham would play the role of a gangster based on Abu Salem's life.
"John is very happy to work with Aishwarya. He loved the role and immediately said yes," a source close to the film told the Pune Mirror.
But the report is yet to be confirmed by the film's director.
Meanwhile, "Jazbaa" is an action thriller and reportedly Bachchan will be seen doing some action stunts.
"Jazbaa will be an action thriller drama, in which Aishwarya features as a very strong female lead. In fact, her character is so strong that she is more like the hero of the film, than a lead actress," the director told Bollywood Hungama in May.
For the action scenes, the director has signed in Hollywood stunt director Spiro Razatos. The internationally famed director, Razatos, will be directing the stunt scenes of Bachchan.
"Jazbaa" is the comeback film of the Bollywood diva, which will go on floors next year. The director has already announced that he is going to release the first teaser of the film in May during the Cannes Film Festival.
