The 67th Cannes International Film Festival started on 14 May with celebrities from across the world walking on the red carpet.
Bollywood celebrities Uday Chopra and Mallika Sherawat were also present at the film festival on day one. Chopra attended the event in Cannes, France, as the co-producer of the film "Grace of Monaco".
The film, based on star-turned-princess Grace Kelly, is Chopra's first flick as producer.
He walked on the red carpet with the cast of the films including Nicole Kidman. Chopra wore a black tuxedo with a crisp white shirt and bow. The "Dhoom" series actor also posted a picture of himself on his Twitter handle.
Sherawat, who is a regular at the Cannes Film Festival, dazzled on the red carpet. This year the actress's look was subdued, unlike her previous appearance.
Sherawat will inaugurate CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Pavilion at Cannes later this month. The diva looked beautiful in light blue Emilio Pucci lace gown with diamond earrings.
"Feeling honored to be invited to inaugurate the CII Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival 2014," Sherawat tweeted.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was spotted at Mumbai airport with her daughter, Aaradhya, on Wednesday night. The actress will be walking the red carpet this year along with husband Abhishek Bachchan.
