The 25th edition of the Buil Film Awards, which was held on the night of October 7, honoured the best of South Korea's actors, actresses and films of the year. The award show was first held in 1958, but was stopped 1974. However, the award show returned in 2008 and has been going on since then.
This year, the award show announced Lee Byung Hun, Son Ye Jin, Kim Eui Sung and Park So Dam among others as the top winners. Byung Hun, who won the best actor award at the Asian Film Festival, grabbed the best actor trophy for Inside Men at the Buil Film Awards 2016. Ye Jin won the best actress award for her performance in The Truth Beneath, while Veteran movie won the best film award.

Yu Hyun Mok Film Arts Award: Director Yeon Sang Ho (Train to Busan)
Buil Readers' Jury Award: Director Park Chan Wook (The Handmaiden)
