Ram Charan's family entertainer "Govindudu Andarivadele" ("GAV") has surpassed the final worldwide collections of Mahesh Babu's "Businessman" and "Pokiri" in just 12 days.
"GAV" has minted ₹39.5 crore share in 12 days (1-12 October) at the worldwide box office. It earned ₹31.72 crore from AP/Nizam areas, while the rest of the collections are from Karnataka, rest of India and overseas markets, reported Andhraboxoffice.
Mahesh's "Businessman", which hit the screens in 2012 earned ₹39 crore in its full run. The actor's 2006-blockbuster flick "Pokiri" had earned total ₹36.68 crore.
Now, "GAV" has completed its 12-day run beating the collections of "Businessman" and "Pokiri." The film has also surpassed the final worldwide collections of Anushka's "Arundhati" (₹35.96 crore), Mahesh's "Aagadu" (₹34.25 crore) and Allu Arjun's "Iddarammayilatho" (₹31.55 crore).
The family entertainer is also expected to beat the collections of Balakrishna's "Legend" (₹40.4 crore) and Rajamouli's "Eega" (₹42.8 crore) soon.
"GAV" is set to surpass the ₹40 crore mark soon. It will be Ram's fifth film after "Magadheera", "Racha", "Naayak" and "Yevadu" to achieve the feat. It has to be noted that the actor has starred in a total of eight Telugu films in his career till date.
Ram has been on a roll with back-to-back successful films, including "Naayak" and "Yevadu." Now, "GAV" is also turning out to be a successful film much to the delight of the actor's fans.
For the first time, Ram has starred in a family entertainer to make an image makeover. Critics and audience have appreciated the actor's performance in the film. Prakash Raj and Jayasudha have also won accolades for their performances in the family entertainer.
Kajal Aggarwal, Meka Srikanth, Kamalinee Mukherjee and Rehman are also part of the film's cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja has worked on the soundtracks, while Sameer Reddy has handled the cinematography and the editing has been done by Naveen Nuli. Parameswara Art Productions banner has produced the project.
