"Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde" fame Vijay Kumar Konda's latest directorial venture "Oka Laila Kosam" (OLK) starring Naga Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde in the lead has started with a bang at the Box Office on its opening day. As per early records, the film is expected to be the biggest opener in his career.
"Oka Laila Kosam" is a romantic-comedy and its promos have garnered good response thereby creating lot of curiosity among filmgoers. The makers promoted the film well, which has been delayed several times. Naga Chaitanya has a decent fan following in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well as outside the Telugu-dominant states. His fans have been desperately waiting to watch the movie.
The makers of "Oka Laila Kosam" made the advance ticket booking available and the film registered good amount of bookings for the first day. Considering all the factors, trade experts in the Film Nagar had predicted that the movie would get superb opening at the box office.
Made with a whopping budget of ₹20 crore, "Oka Laila Kosam" has been released in around 650 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and nearly 200 screens in other parts of the globe. As predicted, the movie has opened to superb response. The movie has registered an average of 65% to 75% occupancy in both single-screens and multiplexes in the morning and matinee shows. Some centres ran to packed house.
"Oka Laila Kosam" has garnered mixed response from cine-goers and most of them have given positive feedback. The viewers, who watched the film in the early shows, say that the first half of the movie is very entertaining, but the second half drags on and gets boring. The climax is fantastic. A strong word of mouth is expected to take its business upwards in the evening and night shows.
