Alludu Seenu
Debutant Bellamkonda Sreenivas's "Alludu Seenu", which hit the screens on 25 July, took a good opening on the first day of its release. The film has minted approximately ₹2.85 crore at the AP/Nizam box office, according to Andhraboxoffice website. To check out the area wise collections, click HERE.
The action comedy entertainer maintained steady business on the second day. The film is estimated to have earned over ₹2 crore share at the AP/Nizam box office. It is expected to continue its decent run on Sunday (27 July) and end the first weekend on a good note.
Directed by Vinayak, "Alludu Seenu" has Samantha, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam and Pradeep Rawat in pivotal roles. The film received decent reviews from critics who termed it as a typical commercial entertainer.
With no other big Telugu releases, "Alludu Seenu" has managed to dominate the screens in theatres. The film is likely to do well in the coming days owing to Ramzan holiday. The four-day long weekend is expected to boost the film's collections. However, it remains to be seen as to how the Sreenivas starrer performs during weekdays.
Drushyam

"Drushyam", the remake of Malayalam film "Drishyam," took a decent opening upon its release on 11 July. The thriller family drama, which received critical acclaim, managed to hold well and earn good collections at the box office. The film has turned out to be a hit in two weeks.
Recently, "Drushyam" team celebrated the success of the film in Hyderabad. Film's cast and crew including Venkatesh, Meena, Nadhiya, director Sripriya, Ramanaidu, Suresh Babu, Paruchuri brothers attended the event.
Speaking at the event, Venkatesh said, "'Drishyam' is one of the most memorable film in my 27 years of acting career. I am very happy that this film has come at a time, when Suresh productions is completing 50 years. My self confidence has increased with this film and this success inspired me to make many more experimental films. I am very thankful to director Sripriya for making such a wonderful film with me and the audiences who are encouraging us," according to Indiaglitz.
"Drushyam" is about a happy family that gets into trouble after committing a crime. The father's attempts to save his family form the crux of the story.
The film which has been remade in Kannada has also done good business at the box office. The Tamil version, starring Kamal Haasan, is expected to go on floors soon.
