Ram Charan's "Yevadu" has surpassed the ₹40-crore mark (share) at the worldwide box office.
"Yevadu" has reportedly earned ₹33.75 crore in 9 days at the Andhra Pradesh box office. The film's collections from other areas including Karnataka, rest of India and overseas territories is more than ₹6 crore. The film's 9-day worldwide collections (share) have crossed the ₹40 crore mark.
"Yevadu" is Ram Charan's fourth film to have achieved this feat. In the past, the actor's "Magadheera" (2009), "Naayak" (2013) and "Racha" (2012) have scored more than ₹40 crore share at the worldwide box office.
The action entertainer opened to a fantastic response on its release on 12 January. The film did roaring business during the Pongal holidays and has managed to sustain its momentum at the box office even during the weekdays. The film is expected to end the second week on a good note. However, it remains to be seen how it performs after Salman Khan's "Jai Ho" hits the screens on 24 January.
The other Sankranti release - "1 Nenokkadine" - is not performing well in Andhra Pradesh, but the film is going great guns in the US.
"1 Nenokkadine" has surpassed $1 million last week at the US box office and the film has minted $1.225 million as of 19 January. The psychological thriller is Mahesh Babu's third film to have crossed the $1 million mark. Previously, his films "Dookudu" and "Seethama Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" have also achieved that feat.

Mahesh Babu has a strong hold in the US, which has once again become evident with the success of "1 Nenokkadine."
