It seems like the much-expected Brock Lesnar vs Bill Goldberg fight will now physically happen if latest updates from the former WCW and WWE champion are anything to go by. These updates confirm Goldberg's presence in the WWE as early as next week.
Goldberg tweeted that he would be on next week's Monday Night RAW to answer Paul Heyman's recent challenge to fight Brock Lesnar one-on-one. Goldberg's tweets are an indication that the potential match of the decade could take place on RAW itself, rather than on Survivor Series 2016 in November.
These latest details only add to fans' expectations about seeing Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg in the same ring after nearly 12 years. They had their last match during Wrestlemania 20 way back in 2004.
Goldberg's return to RAW was imminent when he was incorporated into WWE 2K17 as a playable character. Also, it makes most sense for WWE to place the former champion in a match with Brock Lesnar as the latter has been on a bullying spree causing havoc to wrestlers like Randy Orton (defeated twice) and Dean Ambrose (during Wrestlemania 32).
At this point in time, multiple WWE pundits are predicting a Brock Lesnar win over Goldberg considering the former's age and recent form. However, a surprise cannot be ruled out considering the fact that Goldberg is in the peak of fitness and itching to get back into the WWE business.
