At least seven people were killed after a crane collapsed at the construction site of Arrah-Chhapra bridge in Bihar on Monday afternoon, according to emerging reports.
Several people have reportedly been trapped.
The 4.3-km-long under-construction bridge is being built across river Ganga, connecting two cities -- Arrah of Bhojpur district and Chhapra (Chapra) of Saran district -- of the state.
Upon completion, the bridge is said to increase the connectivity between northern and southern parts of Bihar.
More details awaited. Stay tuned for updates.
