Bollywood movie "Roy", Telugu movie "Temper" and Tamil movie "Anegan" have opened well at the Bengaluru box office. The three movies had tough competition on the release day.
'Roy' Opening Day Box Office Performance in Bengaluru
"Roy" has opened to decent response in Bengaluru. On the release day, the Bollywood movie had close to 150 shows. While for some shows the movie had 55-65% occupancy, on an average, for some, it was less than 50%. Nonetheless, it is a good opening for a Ranbir Kapoor movie, say local traders.
The movie starring Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez is directed by Vikramjit Singh. "Roy" is distributed by AA Films in Karnataka. The estimated business on the opening day in the city is said to be ₹1 crore+.
"Temper" Opening Day Performance in Bengaluru
Junior NTR and Kajal Aggarwal starrer "Temper" has done fantastic business in Bengaluru on the release day. The movie had close to 125 shows in the Garden City on the first day and has got 75% occupancy on an average for the shows. The evening shows specially ran into packed houses.
"Temper" is distributed by Brunda Associates in Karnataka. On the release day, the estimated business by the Telugu movie in Bengaluru is ₹1.1 crore. Good word-of-mouth is expected to do wonders for the movie in the coming days.
"Anegan" Opening Day Performance in Bengaluru
Dhanush and Amyra Dastur starrer "Anegan" has got a decent start in Bengaluru. The Tamil movie, despite facing a lot of competition from "Roy", "Temper" and last-week's release "Yennai Arindhaal", has performed reasonably well in the Garden City.
"Anegan" had 90 shows on the release day in Bengaluru. On an average, the occupancy for the shows were somewhere between 55-70%. The estimated collection of the Tamil movie in Bengaluru on the release day is about ₹35 lakh.
