Director SS Rajamouli has finalised the release date of "Baahubali: The Conclusion", the sequel to his blockbuster "Baahubali: The Beginning". Given the new release date, "Baahubali 2" will not clash with Aamir Khan's "Dangal" at the box office.
Bollywood critic and trade expert Taran Adarsh has now revealed the exact official release date of "Baahubali: The Conclusion" on his Twitter page. He tweeted Wednesday afternoon: "Breaking News: #Baahubali2 release date finalized: 14 April 2017 [Good Friday]. SS Rajamouli directs. Expect a Hurricane at the BO. (sic)"
"Baahubali: The Beginning" ended abruptly with a note that its sequel, titled "Baahubali: The Conclusion" would release in December 2016. The million-dollar question — "Why did Kattappa killed Baahubali?", which will be answered in the part 2 — has created a lot of curiosity around "Baahubali 2".
April 14, 2017 will see this question answered as well, with Adarsh tweeting: "Why did Katappa kill Baahubali? We will get the answers only next year now [14 April 2017]. #Baahubali2 #EagerlyAwaited (sic)"
A lot has been speculated about the possible release date of "Baahubali: The Conclusion". Some reports claimed the movie would release in 2017 as its production had been delayed. Others reported it would hit the screens during Christmas 2016 and clash with Aamir Khan's "Dangal", which is scheduled to hit the screens Dec. 23, 2016.
As of now, no big-ticket Tamil, Telugu or Hindi film is slated to hit the screens a few weeks before and after the release of "Baahubali: The Conclusion". Andhra Box Office tweeted: "Excellent Release Date of 14-04-2017 for #Baahubali2. Summer, Tamil New Year, Good Friday and No Bollywood biggies before or after 50days! (sic)"
