For last couple of years, local players led by Micromax took lead in the burgeoning smartphone market in India by offering low-cost handsets with high-end specifications taking a huge chunk out of MNC brand market share.

The main advantage of MNC branded phones over local devices is that the user can be assured of good after-sale services, except Motorola which is limited to tier-one cities, but going forward, the company is expected to establish more service centres in tier-2 cities after getting acquired by Lenovo soon.

Display:
First up, Motorola Moto G flaunts a 4.5-inch HD (1280x720p) screen with pixel density of 329 ppi (pixels per inch).
[Note: It also boasts nano-coating on the phone enabling users to take/answer calls even in rain. However, it cannot really be taken for dip in the pool]
HTC Desire 310 and the new Lenovo A526 sports same 4.5-inb FWVGA (480x854p) display with pixel density close to 218 ppi (pixels per inch), and Sony Xperia E1 dual is the smallest among the rivals featuring a 4.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) TFT LCD screen.
Processor, RAM, Storage Capacity:
Motorola and Sony run on Snapdragon chipsets manufactured by the industry leader Qualcomm, but differ in CPU types. Moto G is powered by Snapdragon 400 series 1.2GHz quad-core processor, whereas Xperia E1 dual ships with 1.2GHz dual-core processor.

In this aspect, all four smartphones stand even as they run on the same ubiquitous Android platform; only difference among them is that they ship with different versions. User need not get deterred by this difference as they can still plays games and apps available in the market.
