The "American Idol" 2014 has narrowed down to just 10 contestants, so the competition is getting tougher than ever before. After the elimination round last week, top contestants will perform once again on Wednesday for America's vote.
Top 10 contestants' performance will be telecast at 8:00pm - 10 pm EST Wednesday on Fox (6:30am - 8:30 am IST, Thursday).
Last week saw Ben Briley being sent home after he was placed in the bottom three along with Majesty Rose and Sam Woolf. He was made to sing for survival but his rendition of "Stars" by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals failed to convince judges - Keith Urban, Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Lopez.
"Ben, we love your voice. But what we've got to see is this artistic growth and we don't collectively feel like we've necessarily seen that. We love you, man, but unfortunately we can't use our save with you tonight," said Keith Urban.
This week, the remaining contestants will perform songs from the Billboard Top 10 charts since 2010. America will expect something spectacular from then this time around, as they have hordes of hit songs to choose from.
The songs to be sung by seven of the hopefuls have made it to the net though Fox has not officially announced. Alex Preston is expected to sing "Story Of My Life" by One Direction, CJ Harris - "Invisible" by Hunter Hayes, Caleb Johnson - "The Edge Of Glory" by Lady Gaga, Dexter Roberts - "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line, Jena Irene Asciutto - "Clarity" by Zedd/Foxes, MK Nobilette - "F****n') Perfect" by Pink, and Sam Woolf - "We Are Young" by Fun/Janelle Monae, while that of singers - Jessica Meuse, Majesty York and Malaya Watson - is not known yet, according to The Idol Pad.
America will vote for their favorite singers based on their performance on Wednesday. Elimination episode will be telecast on Thursday at 9:00pm EST.
