The audio launch date of Vijay's "Jilla" has been revealed as 21 December.
Actor Jithan Ramesh, son of RB Chowdary who is producing "Jilla" under his Super Good Films banner, has confirmed the audio release date on his micro-blogging site Twitter.
Earlier it was reported that "Jilla" audio launch might happen on 15 December. But now it will make its way in the third week of this month.
It is not clear if the audio release will be a grand affair. However, buzz is that there will not be big launch event and the album will hit the stores directly. An official word in this regard is still awaited.
"Jilla" audio has been composed by Imman. The music composer revealed that there will be eight tracks in the film - five songs, two karaoke and one theme song. The film's opening song has been sung by legendary singers SP Balasubramaniyam and Shankar Mahadevan. Actor Vijay and singer Shreya Ghosal have crooned a melodious number titled "Kandangi Kandangi."
Generally, a film's trailer is released along with the audio, but the makers of "Jilla" have not let out any details about the trailer launch.
Directed by RT Nesan, "Jilla" has Kajal Aggarwal, Mohanlal, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Mahat Raghavdenra among others in pivotal roles. The film's shooting has been completed and the post production has already begun. "Jilla" is touted to be a commercial entertainer set in rural backdrop. The film is gearing up for a big release on 10 January 2014.
The Vijay starrer will be clashing with Ajith's "Veeram", which is also set to hit the screens during Pongal festival in January.
Both the actors command a massive fan following worldwide. Their films "Veeram" and "Jilla" are expected to take a good opening on the first day of its release. But the films' fate will be decided based on critics and audience feedback. It remains to be seen as to whether both the films will perform well or only one will emerge as a winner.
