Imam Siddique, who was one of the notorious contestants of last year's "Bigg Boss", apparently refused to work in Farah Khan's "Happy New Year," which features Shah Rukh Khan.
Siddique, who wanted to make a debut in Bollywood, got the offer from long time friend and choreographer-director Farah to do a cameo in her "Happy New Year" with Shah Rukh.
Siddique was initially overjoyed when Farah called to cast him in the film, but was disappointed when he came to know about the role.
"Imam was very happy when his long time friend Farah called him to tell him that she was thinking to cast him in her next movie Happy New Year with Shah Rukh Khan," a source told The Times of India.
"But when Imam got to know about the role he was quite disappointed. It was just a two-minute role with SRK. He was not interested in doing a cameo, even if that was with King Khan. He is looking for a substantial role for a debut in Bollywood."
Siddique made headlines last year when he participated in "Bigg Boss" season six. The fashion stylist, during his stay in the Bigg Boss house last season, had shared unpleasant chemistry with the show's host Salman Khan.
After entertaining people in the last season, Siddique was expected to make a wild card entry in "Bigg Boss" season 7. However, he is still said to be in talks with the producers.
"Yes, Imam is supposed to enter the show, in its final weeks. While none of it has been signed on the papers, Imam has been approached, and he is also keen to show his antiques inside the Bigg Boss house again," a source told The Times of India.
