The makers of "Mickey Virus" organized a special screening of the film ahead of its release on Friday, and several celebrities like actor Jeetendra, Lauren Gottlieb, Gurmeet Choudhary, Dhristi Dhami and Karan Wahi graced the event.
"Mickey Virus" featuring Manish Paul, Elli Avram, Manish Choudhary, Varun Badola and Puja Gupta is a thriller comedy directed by Saurabh Varma and is releasing on Friday, 15 October.
The film revolves around a lazy but street smart hacker, played by Manish Paul. The popular television anchor said that debuting in Bollywood is a dream come true.
Produced by DAR Motion Pictures in association with Awesome Films Pvt Ltd and Trilogic Digital Media Ltd, the promotional teaser of the film featuring Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Farah Khan, Karan Johar, Remo D'souza and TV comedian Kapil Sharma caught the attention of the public.
"This is a comic film with funny twists and turns and the hero is a common man just like you and me. So we wanted to market the film in a way that the audience could easily relate to. Thus, we have all our celebrities either abusing or saying something funny about Mickey," director Saurabh Varma was quoted as saying by Times of India.
"We wanted to show that he is not someone with a larger-than-life image. We were wondering how to go about promoting the film and that's when we thought of including well-known faces for our teaser. Since Manish has closely interacted with them, they readily agreed to promote the film."
