'Doosukeltha' Box Office Collection (Overseas): Vishnu Manchu Starrer Earns Over ₹25 Lakh in Opening Weekend

Vishnu Manchu's recently-released film "Doosukeltha" has raked in over ₹25 lakh (reported screens only) from 42 screens in its opening weekend at the US box office.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Telugu film ##Doosukeltha *opening weekend* USA $ 41,215 [Rs 25.03 lacs]. Note:- Reported screens only."

"Doosukeltha", which released on 17 October, received positive reviews from critics. The film opened well on the first day, thanks to Vishnu's commendable performance. After "Denikaina Ready", "Doosukeltha" is touted to be another hit film in Vishnu's career.

Although the action-comedy entertainer had a good opening, it failed to beat the first-day collections of Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi" (AD) and Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya." The Vishnu starrer is expected to continue its business and rake in some decent collections until this Friday (25 October), when Nagarjuna's "Bhai" releases.

Expectations for "Bhai" are quite high, thanks to Nag's star power. The film is likely to take a massive opening on the first day of its release. When a new film hits the screens, the number of shows for the past releases will be reduced. Accordingly, "AD", "Ramayya Vastavayya" and "Doosukeltha" might get limited number of screens.

If the Vishnu Manchu starrer is able to sustain its business despite "Bhai" release, the film might enjoy more revenue for a few more days as there are no other big Telugu releases after "Bhai" in this month.

Directed by Veeru Potla, "Doosukeltha" has Vishnu Manchu and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead roles. Other cast members include Kota Srinivasa Rao, Vennala Kishore, Brahmanandam and Rao Ramesh in supporting roles.

With the success of "Doosukeltha", Vishnu Manchu will have two back-to-back hits. The actor will be next seen in the untitled Srivas project, which will also have Mohan Babu, Manoj Manchu, Varun Sandesh, Hansika Motwani, Raveena Tandon and Pranitha Subash in supporting roles. The film, which is reportedly a remake of Hindi film "Golmaal 3", is expected to release next year.
