"We intend to offer our solutions to universities and schools worldwide and empower every student with a PC enabling them to learn and educate themselves beyond textbooks, access and create their own knowledge," Shah said.

The tablet PC will be launched for a price of $50, pointing out the company may be planning to join India's budget tablet market. The netbooks will be available for $120. Wishtel earlier said that it will increase the production capacity of its two plants in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
