Here's some bad news for fans of "Saubhaghyalakshmi."
The show, which is the revamped version of hit show "Bhaghyalakshmi," with popular television actress Sara Khan and Aruna Irani reprising their roles, is likely to go off-air in March.
"Saubhaghyalakshmi" has reportedly failed to garner the expected TRPs and hence, the makers have decided to pull the plug off.
According to reports, the show will be replaced by "Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai," which will mark the debut of Bollywood actress Amrita Rao on the small screen. Also featuring veteran actresses Zarina Wahab and Deepti Naval, the promo of "Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai" has received a good response from the viewers.
While no confirmation has been made by &TV Channel regarding "Saubhaghyalakshmi" going off-air, according to a Telly Chakkar report, "Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai" will be aired at the 8 p.m. slot from March 7, which currently belongs to "Saubhaghyalakshmi."
"Yes, I have been aware about all the rumours surrounding about the show going off-air. However, we haven't really been notified about it yet. I don't really know what is the fate of the show. It does seem obvious that the upcoming show is set to be telecasted on the time slot our show airs, but then who knows what have the makers planned otherwise!" Abigail Jain who plays the role of Kavya in "Saubhaghyalakshmi" told India Forums.
