Allu Arjun and Upendra starrer "S/o Satyamurthy" is set to clash with Puneet Rajkumar's "Ranavikrama" in Bengaluru. Both the films are releasing on 10 April.
The Trivikram Srinivas directorial is the first big Telugu film to be released this summer and one of the most-anticipated movies in Tollywood. "Ranavikrama" is a high-budget, most expected movie in Sandalwood.
"S/o Satyamurthy" is a family drama with a high dose of comedy. Samantha, Prakash Raj, Sneha, Adah Sharma, Nithya Menen, Brahamanandam, Sampath Raj, Pavithra Lokesh, among others are in the cast.
On the other hand, "Ranavikrama" is an action-thriller directed by Pawan Wadeyar of "Googly" fame. Anjali, Adah Sharma, Girish Karnad, Charan Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Avinash, Mukhyamantri Chandra and others are in the cast.
The Telugu movie is releasing big in Bengaluru and expected to be shown in about 100 screens. The screen count of the Kannada movie is expected to be around 90, say reports.
A major factor that "S/o' Satyamurthy' has to its advantage is the presence of Upendra in the cast. He is a star in Karnataka and has not acted in Telugu movies in recent years. Hence, his fans are curious to see him in "S/o Satyamurthy". The Tollywood film is releasing in many overseas centres, apart from many states in India.
However, in case of "Ranavikrama", the Kannada film is expected to release in Dubai and it will be released in a few weeks time in other parts of the world. "Ranavikrama" is releasing in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Cochin, Pune, Salem, Ooty, Delhi and a few other places in the country.
