Allu Arjun's Son of Satyamurthy has topped the list of most watched Hindi films on TV in 37th week and it has beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale, SS Rajamouli's Baahubali and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Sholay.
Son of Satyamurthy has been dubbed with the same name and its Hindi version was premiered on TV channels last week. The movie has garnered 4,717 impressions, while Baahubali: The Beginning, Bhai Giri, Sholay and Dilwale got 4,314, 3,117, 3,030 and 2,951 impressions, respectively, according to BARC India.
Sholay was aired on Star Gold and other four movies were telecast on Sony Max. The heads of BARC India posted a picture detailing the numbers of the top five movies on its official Twitter handle on 22 September. They tweeted: @alluarjun's S/O Satyamurthy topped the Hindi Movies chart in week 37. @iamsrk's Dilwale, @SrBachchan Sholay too made it to top 5.#TVRising.
Allu Arjun's brother Sirish was all thrilled to know the news and he took to his Twitter to share the excitement with followers. The actor retweeted the post of BARCIndia and wrote: "Son of Satyamurthy most watched Hindi film on TV last week. 3 out of 5 films are Telugu dubs. Hail Tollywood! We now entertain India."
Son of Satyamurthy is a Telugu romance drama film written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by S Radha Krishna for Haarika & Haasine Creations. The movie features Allu Arjun and Samantha in the lead roles. Released in theatres on 9 April 2015, the movie has become one of the biggest money spinners of the year.
