The buzz surrounding Ajith's upcoming film "Thala 55" doesn't seem to cease with more rumours coming up almost every day.
The latest buzz is that the film's title and the first look poster will be released on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi (Vinayagar Chathurthi), which falls on 29 August.
Fans have been eagerly waiting to know the film's title as well as to see its first look poster. Earlier, it was expected that the title will be revealed on Ajith's birthday in May. However, it was not revealed on that day disappointing his fans.
Now, speculations are rife that the first look and the title will be released on 29 August. But, there is no official confirmation from the makers.
Directed by Gautham Menon, "Thala 55" (Ajith's 55th film) will see Ajith as an investigative officer. Anushka Shetty and Trisha Krishnan are the female leads. According to reports, Trisha will be playing as Ajith's wife and baby Anikha as their daughter. Their portions will reportedly appear in the flashback part and Ajith will be sporting black hair for his role.
This is the fourth time that Trisha has teamed up with Ajith after "Ji", "Kireedam" and "Mankatha."
Meanwhile, this is Anushka's first film with Thala. The film, touted to be an action thriller, also has Arun Vijay, Vivek and Thalaivasal Vijay in pivotal roles. It was earlier reported that "Vaalu" actor Simbu will be making a special appearance in the film. But the actor later denied being part of "Thala 55."
"Thala 55" music is composed by Harris Jayaraj and the film is produced by A. M. Ratnam. The shooting is progressing well and is expected to be completed by September.
If all goes well, the film might get released in November. There is also a buzz that the action entertainer might hit the screens only during the Pongal festival period in 2015. There is no official word regarding the film's release date.
Expectations are high for "Thala 55," as Ajith and Gautham have joined hands for the first time. Whether the actor-director duo will be able to impress the audience is something one needs to wait and watch.
