Asha, who played a police officer in "Papanasam", will appear as a doctor in "Thoongavanam".
Directed by Rajesh N Selva, "Thoongaavanam" has Trisha as the lead heroine.
Kamal Haasan has also roped in Manisha Koirala to play an important role in the upcoming movie. Manisha has earlier worked with Kamal in Tamil movies "Indian" (1996) and "Alavavandhan" (2001), while Trisha has worked with him in the 2010 movie "Manmadan Ambu".
Reports suggest that Trisha will be seen in a character similar to the "Bond" girl and her appearance is likely to be ultra-glamorous.
Kamal will be seen as a police officer in "Thoongaavanam" which is touted to be a stylish thriller that unfolds in a single night.
The movie also has Prakash Raj, Uma Riaz Khan and Kishore in pivotal roles. Ghibran is the music composer of the upcoming movie; he has worked with Kamal in "Uttama Villian" and "Papanasam".
